I've got an Epson printer which i bought in america and now i am in India and the standards are making problem?
The printer requires 250-125 volts and 0.6 amp. the information of watts required is not given....when i stared to work it out it started smoking ...and now im feeling afraid of using trying it with other devices so that it may not get burned up.......please help me as to what should i do....ill give with any other information s if required.....
Most electrical goods work with either 230Volts or 115V.
USA uses 115Volts
INDIA 230Volts.
Looks like you didn't flick the supply over from 115V when you arrived in INDIA (Switch next to where the cable enters the printer).

Could be you have fried the printer
Swich it over to 230V, it may still work, if it doesn't, its a bucket job I'm afraid.
